Hi there i have successfully installed a drivekey into wii , it will play original games but not back ups and i have ver.u4.2 on wii, i have used brand names -r dvd now iam using sony dvd-rw, i've tryed pal ntsc, is there something else i need to do error remove cd and check wii manuel for instructions.

Is this a new wii? New wii's can no longer read burned DVD's no matter what you do to them. The only way to play backups on these wii's is to use a USB loader.

Also, DVD RW's rarely work for backup wii games, even on wii's that could read burned disks.
