Drivekey, wii, img burn slowly, some play/ some dont?

Ok so I installed a drivekey into my wii not too long ago and seem to have a lot of problems with the wii saying unable to read.

Im using verbatim dvd-r discs, burning at 2x....

Does it matter if im using full 4.7gb images, scrubbed images, pal images vs ntsc?

Ive been testing games and most of the newer ones ive tried backing up give me an error....

Is there something Im missing?


I had a wiikey soldered into my other wii a while ago and didnt remember having problems like this.

I have the same problem with my wii. After I burn, the game works a couple of times and then stops working. I have a wiikey dc chip installed. Not sure if it's HBC or the chip that is causing my problems. I am going to usb loader route and I'd suggest the same to you. You will have a whole less of problems and save monies on dvds. Good luck

I would suggest that you don't use a drive key but instead soft mod it. Decreases chance of breaking your Wii and the success and update ability is better.

my wii has received the ofw 4.3u. i want to run usb loader. hbc installed. suggestions?

Hi,

I have a wii with drivekey v2. Does anyone know how to get scrubbed games to work with this ?
I have so far only managed to burn one games successfully and made lovely coasters out of the rest. i am using verbatim dvd -r.
