DriveKey Wii update?

ok, i have the Hard Mod, Drivekey installed. I have placed a new game in the Wii, and it is asking me to update to 4.2. Now, I have read the issues of the update removing softmods etc, but will thi update detect the Drivekey? I dont want to risk bricking the Wii with this update

So long as the game matches the region of the wii you're safe to update with a modchip.
