I have been having issues with most of the games I've done so far and all the postings of Larry's guide working so well, I'm thinking I might have messed something up on the guide. The games on my USB that I ripped seem to lock up alot on the loading screen. So what I would like to do is clear the Wii and the SD card and start over with Larry's guide. Is there an easy way to do this?? Or does it hurt anything going through each section and redoing the steps with clearing the Wii out? Thanks.

There is no reason to start over. if you want just redo the steps over again. But I doubt anything will change if you did everything properly in the first place.

This could be a USB Device issue. It may not have anything to do with the softmod at all.

If some games work and some games lock up then the softmod should be fine. It is probably a game image issue or USB Device issue.

I have a Smipletech 500gb usb drive
Yes, the games install fine via the wii. The games start up with the USB loader GX program but they just lock up after a while. So people that use lets say a 8gb drive, so they just swap out the games with their computer? Cause i'm thinking 8gb doesn't hold many games? Pardon the ignorance....

Try using CFG USB Loader. Most people that have USB Loader issues use USB Loader GX. I used to use USB Loader GX and I had issues. I wen to CFG USB Loader and haven't had issues since. There is a CFG USB Loader guide in my sig.

Thanks Larry! That was the problem. I bought a 8gb sandisk and it worked like a charm.
