The short of it is that my wiimote is not working with my WAD-INSTALLER.
Here is what happened. I was trying to install DVD X on my softmod 4.1u and was having some issues. So i googled untill i came across this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/16769-e...stallation.html basically it told me to install cIOS36 REV 7.wad which i did, but immidiatley after my wiimote turns off when i try to access wad installer. I cannot use my game-cube remote to unitstall it either, any ideas?
I am stuck!!

To add to that it's actually when WAD MANAGER ask which iso to load, and i select 249 the wiimote stops. I tried it through other iso's and the wii mote works, but of course wont let me uninstall b/c it's a different wad.

Does it continue to run after the wiimote shuts off? Because it sounds to me like the console is locking up.
I would first try reinstalling IOS249 (I think its on v16 now) and making sure that your wad manager is up to date.

The cIOS is up to v17 now. I would wait a little while to see if cIOS38_rev17 has any issues.
I have read v15 and v16 had a few bugs in it. So I stuck with v14 for right now. But v17 sounds promising and I might update myself to it soon.

Mine is v15 and I've had no problems with the wad manager or any other homebrew. Thanks for the update about v17 though.

Ok i'm home from work and have had some time to play with the Wii. Seems like anything i try to do with 249 does NOT work. Can not install it with Ciso38 or Ciso22 installer, they both freeze. My neogamma freezes, and when i can not loap DOP IOS.............any ideas? What would you do if it was your wii? Thanks again.

I re-ran these steps from larrylje's 4.1 softmod guide (b/c it's what i used to mod it originally)
cIOS38_rev14:
to install 249 then........
Hermes' IOS 222/223:
and im back on track BUT -- the wad i d/l must have been mal-ware because when i went back in to wad manager to uninstall that p.o.s (once i fixed it) it did the same dam thing, locked out everything and i had to run the above steps once again, this time i didn't try to uninstall just deleted it off my memory card and everything seems to be working fine, but i'm keeping my eyes open for more bugs now..............any ideas what happened?
happy i got it fixed was ready to update to 4.2 then re-softmod..OUCH
....and THANK YOU GUYS for your time, and helping me -- good call on reinstalling 249!

----------UPDATE MORE ERRORS
Well it seemed everything was working but now i cannot load any games; not w/ usb loadgx or neo gamma, i see the games, but when i click on some games (ones that used to work) i get the 1st screen that shows to connect the wii-mote strap and press A. Then after that it goes black and my wii is froze and has to be reset.
I tried re-installing everything.......ANY ideas on this one, got my h/b and v/w works, my games just arn't loading now...please help me THANKS!

Download this IOS55-64-v4633.rar
Install with Wad Manager.
The game will now run.
