Error reading USB on FCE Ultra GX

Anybody have trouble with FCE Ultra using a external HD? I just partitioned my hard drive where a portion goes to USB Loader Games and the other for roms. I get a message saying "Error reading usb".

which one is the first partition?FAT32 should go first..

And there would be my mistake I guess. I have it as the second partition and formatted as NTFS. Thanks
