Is it possible to be able to transfer games from one hard drive to another. If not what are the steps you take to take the games from one hard drive to put on another

Pretty sure if the other drive is formatted the same then just copy the folders over to the other drive. I have an 80GB HD that I use with CFG USB loader and would like to go to a bigger drive at some point and I think if I just format it FAT32 like the other one, I should just need to copy all the folders from one drive to the other.
Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

if the HDD is formatted in WBFS you can you used the WBFS Manager 3.+ to transfer games or copy games between HDD,just one click of a botton. If its fat32 it would just be drap and drop as matrixebi mentioned.

When I plug the hard drive in the computer it asks me to format, but I dont want to do that because it will wipe out everything. and I do not have those games on disc. any thoughts

like fiber said, use WBFS manager to read the drive. just say no when it tells you to format; it's suppose to do that to WBFS drives.

go here.. don't format the HDD. Read the help guide.

If your adding your games to another HDD I would recommend going to a FAT32 file system instead of WBFS. Using a FAT32 format will let you add other files to it to use with other applications (like playing videos emulators etc. etc.). This works by converting the game files themselves to WBFS files so they can be placed on a FAT32 formated drive. Instead of adding them to a WBFS formated drive.

The CFG USB Loader guide in my sig walks you through the steps. It also shows you how to transfer games from a WBFS formated drive to a FAT32 formated drive.
