no. you must use a gamecube memory card because the wii is running in gamecube mode when a gamecube game is played.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

If you get a memory card you can download saves from the internet & put them to your sd card using this app: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Gamecube_Saver

What about the wii key sd card reader. It looks like a memory card but it holds an sd card? I'll try nugasa and gamecube saver but lots of people at they don't work

won't work. here's a quote from dealextreme

Quote:
Other Thoughts: It´s not a memory card, just an adaptator to plugin an SD into it. It doesn´t work as a memory card on your Wii or GC

you'll need to find a real gamecube memory card.

I have a real gamecube memory card and I'm trying to use nugasa and gamecube saver. Neither will work. Nugasa just sits at a screen saying press 1 or 2. Saver says no gc_saves folder. I can't find a guide

Perhaps if you explain in a bit more detail exactly what is it you want to do than perhaps I can help you out a bit more.

Your saves must be in .gci format & Gamecube Saver will probably need to be version 1.1.

Download whatever .GCI file you want (there are plenty scattered around the Internet) and make a folder in the root of your SD card called gc_saves. Place the .GCI file inside of the gc_saves folder, and rename it so that the filename (not including extension) has one or two characters, like A.GCI or ZZ.GCI. Put the SD card into the Wii and load the .ELF.
Make sure that:
There is no save file for the game already on the Gamecube memory card.
There is only one .GCI file in the folder at one time.
Follow the on-screen instructions; press A to write to Slot 1, or press B to write to Slot 2. Press A to confirm the file that you want to write to the memory card. The data will write, then the screen will show a code dump. This can be ignored; simply press A one more time, and the screen will say 'Reset'. You must turn off your Wii manually to restart.

Unfortunately, short of suggesting just to use a real memory card & forget this whole thing, I can only offer you these two tools:

Gamecube Saver:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Gamecube_Saver

Gamecube Memory Manager:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GCMM

You'll have to experiment around with these yourself, I cannot give you anymore advice for I have never copied Gamecube saves myself.
