since around april i've more or less dropped out of the loop concerning wii modding but now my roommate is bugging me to do all the updates to get all of his games working and to get the new netflix channel installed on his wii, I just need a little help getting everything working. currently hes running 4.2u modded, i modded it with everything up til when red steel 2 came out, what i need to get working is all the games since red steel 2 and the wii shop channel, i did do a google search for this but theres just to much stuff to sift through before 2 to be productive with this.

As far as games go, there shouldn't be much to do. Most games should still work just fine exactly the same way as they always have.

Now for the netflix channel, I'm not sure how that works exactly. If it's just a channel then you should be able to find and install the wad file with wad manager and that will be it.

If it requires additional things to be installed, then you'll need to find out what IOS's it needs.

Alternatively, you could just update the wii online and install netflix, then re-softmod. Keep in mind though that you'll need an original copy of either smash bros brawl or lego indiana jones to softmod it once it's updated to 4.3, as that firmware blocks bannerbomb.

The shop channel can be updated on it's own using WAD Manager, & most if not all games can have their IOS installed with WAD Manager to bypass updates.

I also don't know too much about Netflix, sorry.

If you require instructions on any of the methods I've mentioned, please let me know.

As stated above if you have games that do not work, then you need to make sure you have the proper IOS installed and do other steps if the game requires it. There is a compatibility list for games out there somewhere, which list what IOS the game uses and other steps that need to be taken if the game requires it.

As for Netflix. If you can not access the shop channel, then you will need to update to the latest shop channel.

When you can connect to the shop channel, just download the Netflix channel.

As well I am sure sometime soon, there will be a WAD file of the channel available to install manually using WAD Manager.

I myself am disappointed with the new interface on the Netflix channel update. I might just stick with the disc.
