Hi, I'm suddenly getting error #002 when I start games on my Wii. In googling the problem, I find most people complaining about this error are using a USB loader or burned disks. I'm using retail disks, and I'm not using a special loader. I do have the homebrew channel installed, and I did use StartPatch to set my Wii to not check for updates. I find I can start at least some games using Gecko, but I would rather start them normally. Any advice?
It is because you are stopping updates (good thing to do), that your game does not play. Gecko OS allows you to play original games without updating, but even then sometimes it doesn't work. There is a list of games & their respective IOS's here:
