I recetly got myself a wii and about 7 games. I have a 4 year old and despretly need to back my games up. I have tried to use my drive and simply copy and burn to disk. Apperently my drive can not preform this task. I have resorted to finding downloadable versions of only the games I actually own. When I finish the downloads (5hrs later for each one) I go to extract and no matter which copy it is they all seem to end by giving me an error (The archieve is either in uknown format or damaged). I have searched for a few hours now on other sites and this site but none seem to answer my question.

Simply are they all corrupt? Or am I doing something wrong when opening.

Background: I am running vista with winrar, wii is already hacked (I think as I have not been anle to test it yet)

What format are the files in? that is, they'll likely be a series of files such as (mariokart.r00, mariokart.r01, mariokart.r02, so on)

If this is the case, you should open the .r00 file in winrar, then extract the .iso file inside to your HDD (If the series of files is healthy, it should automatically read the archive set)

As stated above I am using winrar and not get passed extracting the files.
How it goes:
1.File done downloading
2.I open it with winrar and extract it once
3.Then I get another compressed file which I then attempt to extract
4.I get an error "file is uknown or kurrupt"

Can you take some photos or screen shots of what is happening, it will be easier to advise.

I know that you keep saying that they are winrar files but these are compressed files not winrar files. Winrar is just one of many compression programs that can decompress these types of files. What is the exact file extension?

r01, r02 etc?
001, 002 etc?
file01.rar, file02.rar etc?

Winrar may not be the correct program to use.

Sounds like the file you've extracted is the iso (Something like mariokart(Compress).iso"?

If this is the case, your'e looking at the image of the game disc (compress) is just what wii scrubber does to an image file by default when you scrub it.

Try burning this image to disc (It's showing as a winrar file because winrar by default sets association with .iso extension during install)
