Ok, you got a Green Screen. What does it mean?
It means that the game you just tried to play is having a problem with forcing the NTSC,PAL,JAP (Or what ever region your trying) signal to the TV. So the error is a "green screen"

I downloaded a game and I convert it to my region
A big No,No. More changes you make to your .ios the more problems your going to run into. Which is why I hate making any changes onto the game itself.

But what about bricking via update?
If you use a backup loader, no worries. The backup loader bypasses the update and loads straight from the game

But I'm scared
Aw, here is a cookie. Now go download preloader .29 it has a setting that you can always skip the updates ( Even the official games) So that means you don't have to make any chances to your iso's anymore.

Ha! I'm still green screening!
Rule of thumb, if you have a NTSC Wii run NTSC games, JAP Wii JAP games...ect

But they don't have the game I want in my region, am I stuck?
Not really, If you have a PAL game try forcing PAL in your backuploader. Play with the settings, you won't harm your Wii from changing the settings

Any other tips?
Make sure you have the following
1)Latest Stable CIOS cIOS38_13a
2)Latest backup loader Neogamma v6

I got passed the green screen now it's saying 002 error
Enable the error 002 fix.

Any other pointers, ideas or tips? I'll post it on here.

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/
