I have a NTSCWii soft modded using the Twilight hack. I have 3.2U firmware. I don't use a USB loader. I play all backups through the Gator backup loader.
I can't play Guitar Hero 5 backup, I just get a black screen and I can't play Ghostbusters, I just get a green screen.
I had cIOS38_rev13-Installer.dol (I think version A) This played PunchOut! fine. I updated to cIOS38_rev14-Installer.dol and I get the Error 002 bluescreen for all of the above games.
I reinstalled cIOS38_rev13-Installer.dol and I got Error 002 again so I ran a Wad called Rev 9, which resulted in Punchout! playing again, but Guitar Hero 5 still give a black screen and GB still give a green one.
Can anyone assist on how to get these games to work in backup loader?
neogamma R6 with #002 fix turned on and patch video "all" should play ghostbusters just fine. It plays great for me...now guitar hero 5 is another story.I can't get it to work with any back up launcher.
Guitar Hero 5 works with USB Loader GX if you do the following...
1. Installed the IOS56-64-v5146.wad file first
2. Launched Hermes cIOS 222 Installer and installed IOS 222 using IOS36 (Default)
3. Launched Hermes cIOS 222 Installer and installed IOS 223 using IOS37 merged with IOS36
4. Launched USB Loader GX
5. Configured GH5 to load using IOS 223 and #002 fix set to Anti.
Got this from the Wiihacks.com a nice little site that answers the questions that dont get answered here. I had all the problems you had until i did this. also to get it working on disc you have to use the softchip method which is also on that site

i used that and was able to get the game to load, HOWEVER, if I turn my wii off, it goes back to having a black screen. I can repeat the above steps again, and it works again, but only until I turn off my Wii.
I've read and read and read posts, and I can't find out what's wrong.
do you mean it goes black and then all you have to do is restart your system? or it goes black and you cant do anything at all? I think i saw somewhere under game load setting you can block IOS restart?
But if the only problem your having is that when your done with the game you have to restart the whole system thats not so bad...glad you got it working with USB loader GX though..that guide would have saved me from weeks of frustration and a low level brick the first time!
My advise is if its working and you can restart it...dont tool around too much..thats when the bricks can creep up on you..when your frustrated and willing to try anything...just be happy that its working bro...or at least make damn sure your nand and preloader work first!

i'll go through the guide and it will work, but when i'm done playing, and i turn off my wii, it won't play the next time i turn it back on. i have to go through and re-start the steps from the above guide, and then it will work again. UNTIL i turn off my wii again
i can't find anything anywhere to explain this, or tell me what to do
oh if thats the case you need to save the settings under game load. Once you pick all the things your supposed to...like 223, set 002 to anti....make sure you save them. Then check them just to make sure. Im not sure what loader you are using but on USB loader gx the save settings is in the lower right corner.
