Ok i just bought the Black wii and it came with 4.2 now i have searched far and wide for the tut to help me. so far i have only gotten the homebrew channel which as i understand is half the battle but no matter what i can't get my USB loaders to work. I have a 320gp external that can boot games and i have games on it of course and it is formatted properly now i know i need the unstubbed version of the 249 ios and some others or something but every tut i find is so vauge in this that i have tried to the best of my ability. one of the guides even said to boot software that was not included in the pack and said it didn't even tell the name of it so WTF some one please help me as i am more of an xbox guy and this is just a whole new world to me lol.

as of like ten minutes ago i finally got the custom ios for 249 to install using 236 and then now i got hermes 222 installed now too. I have USB loader working and will soon see if i can get Uloader to work when i get more time but i had to read all of about six guides to get it working. i don't know the actual names cause i did not look i read and see what they had in common and what they were trying to achieve it works now finally but with very little help from many people simply because none of teh download links work at all and i had to google them all and ended at the same place....

dave i am stuck on
7) Restart your Nintendo Wii and then Re-run Homebrew Channel, then load 'Dop-IOS v8' Keep pressing right until you find IOS53 and press A to select yes to install and Sig Hash Check. Do the same for IOS55 and IOS70. Next press home to return to homebrew channel.
it jsut black screens after i load the Drop-IOS program from homebrew, my wimmote stops working as well, can i skip this step? My goal is jsut to run backups off wiiflow using an external HD
