I have a 4.2e wii that i have managed to downgrade from 4.3e.
doing this, i have had nightmare after nightmare, following the guide to the letter.
I have finally managed to install confiurable usb loader, but I have no idea how to get my wii games backed up.
is there another app that i need? to be honest I am really scared of bricking my wii.
what i have read I need to find a wad and install an iso or something all i would like to do is,
-back up my wii games from the wii.
-store my games on a external hdd ( this part is not a problem)
-install wii flow ( not sure where I have to put he file )
basically have the wii ready for when the kids get home.
Well first off, downgrading the wii was ENTIRELY unnecessary. USB loaders work perfectly fine on 4.3. They work on 4.2 as well so you haven't hurt anything, but you did a lot of work and ran a very real risk of bricking your wii for nothing.
That said though, if you have USB loader installed properly then you dont need any further apps.
If your drive is formatted WBFS or FAT32 then you can just plug it into the wii, start configurable USB loader, pop your game into the wii and press the + button to copy it to the drive.
You can also load games from your computer.
For WBFS format drives you load games on directly using WBFS manager.
For FAT32 or NTFS drives you need to use WBFS manager to convert the games into WBFS files and then just copy them to the drive.
Games cannot be loaded onto NTFS drives from the wii, only from your computer.
Wiiflow is just a different USB loader. If you have configurable USB loader working then you don't need it.

Thank you penguin98.
for people like me who dont really know the jargon it kinda hard sometimes. the guide i used never said that downgrading was optional, (this being another day i have learnt something new). thanks for your help.
