Help getting caught up with hacking scene

Hey guys,

I have a hacked Wii. I used larrylje guide but that was some time ago. So, what I have going is I have the homebrew channel and the HDD loader. The HDD loader is still working even though I updated the Wii recently due to we bought a game for my daughter. I recently looked at my Wiis' setting and I am at version 4.0U.
I want to play Mario Galaxy 2 but before I do that do I need to update my hacks or version of the items that I have installed on the Wii? Any help pointing me to the right direction would be appreciated.

Everyone going to want to know what loader you are using? And if you look at the current active threads you may find some of the answers you seek. As for me I know if you wish to play via the disk you at lease need to install IOS56-64-v5405 there are may different way about going to do that. I don't have enough expertise to guide you through the process like yourself I find myself out on the web getting guidence from places like this.
