Alright, I messed up this time.

I installed cIOSCORP 3.1, but decided I didn't want it anymore. So I read guides saying to use AnyRegion Changer to downgrade back to 3.2U, and then just update to 4.1U officially through my system menu. So I did that. Well, cIOSCORP still works. So I got mad and decided to re-virginize my Wii, in hopes it would kill cIOSCORP. So I used anytitle deleter to delete all my IOS that was 200 or higher and my hacked channels (such as emulators and the HBC), and used NAND Clean to get rid of preloader and bootmii. So after all that I re-updated back to 4.1U officially. But guess what.. cIOSCORP is STILL working!

But now instead of having that as my main problem, HackMii installer won't give my HBC back! HackMii gives me the error "There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii. Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons."

So I got to reading online, and this is because of cIOSCORP! RAGE! So, the only upside is, I got cIOSCORP to run any fix DVD's I might need to actually fix this.

So, what do I do? And keep in mind, I do not have preloader, bootmii, or the HBC to work with. I do however have an SD card and cIOSCORP.

Thanks for any help.

All I can think of is use bannerbomb to run WAD manager and install IOS35.

Then use Bannerbomb to run the Hackmii installer again.

Anyway downgrading and upgrading using the normal Wii system update should have overwritten cIOSCorp from the Wii system.

If you used Waninkoko updater then cIOSCorp would not be overwritten.

Thanks. This sounds possible. I will give it a try.

Ok I can't install any IOS wads. I did however manage to install a wad manager 1.5 channel, so I don't have to bannerbomb back into it everytime. The error I get when installing any IOS is ret 1035. At least I am getting somewhere. I am currently looking for a HBC wad file. Maybe that would install and I could begin fixing everything. I know if I had HBC I could get to where I was last ( I have a nand backup. Just no way to restore it. And I didn't think about this earlier lol)

Thanks for any help.

woohoo! found a HBC 1.0.3 wad file and it installed perfectly.

Ok, now, assuming I can't use my nand backup, how do i get rid of cioscorp. I used any region changer to get back to 3.2, and then used the official nintendo update servers to update back. Yet cioscorp never died. However, when I was at 3.2, cioscorp did in fact stop working. But after updating back, it re-enabled.

Because at 3.2, it will not be working at all ( as in, my disc channel will only load retail games). However, after updating back to 4.1u through system settings, it works again (Meaning my disc channel begins reading backups again).

The disc channel can show that there is a disc in the system even when cIOSCorp is not installed. But when you start the game you will get a disc read error.

So did you start the game and did it actually boot or do you get a read error?

It actually boots and lets me play. Just tested again. It is loading backups like they were retail games. It is really making me mad, because I know how unstable and risky cioscorp is (i didn't know before installing). I just want it gone now.

Also, backups would never load at all (not even the fancy banner screen), before installing cioscorp. I always loaded my backups with NeoGamma R6. And I bought this console new, so I know it doesn't have a modchip.

Almost forgot. I used your guide to install cioscorp. lol . However, I did skip the bit about preloader that said to use the "Disable disc updates" hack, as I only have an SDHC card, and preloader doesn't work with that.

Thank you.

cIOSCorp is not unstable and risky.

I don't know what to tell you it should overwrite the cIOSCorp files when upgrading with the normal update.

All I can tell you to try is download all the normal IOS files that cIOSCorp installed and overwrite them manually using WAD Manager.

Just make sure you have a cIOS installed so you can run IOS Downgrader and downgrade the IOS files after you re-install them.

You should also install Bootmii as Boot2 if it will let you and make a NAND backup.

But keep in mind the disc channel could still show the game even if cIOSCorp is not installed to the system.

I already have a nand backup of before I installed cioscorp. However, I cannot install bootmii as boot2, only as IOS. can IOS bootmii restore a nand?

Thanks
