I got the 250gb version of the bottom one so I'd recommend that one in the 2nd link.

When I was purchasing my hard drive I researched a lot of places. There were a couple posts that said not to buy hard drives without an ac adapter. Folks that had usb powered hard drives complained that their usb ports fried. This is all off of memory though so do you own research.

With this in mind, my vote is for the upper hard drive listed.

Good luck and happy downloading!!

thanks guys i went with the passport and it worked like a charm. No problems got a 500gb for 100 bux which is the norm for small drives...its really nice and works perfect with my 20+ backups. Recommended drive. As far as burning up idk ive done alot of research and have never heard of that but that doesnt mean it it ant true, hopefully ill be ok though. Thanks again

I always get a kick out of the "HD compatibility threads" only because I have never had a drive that didn't work. I've only done about 25 softmods and almost all of them had a diff external HD and I've yet to come across any brand or make that doesn't work. That's not to say that there aren't drives out there that don't work but I've yet to come across one.

What are you talking about? This thread is not about compatibility issues.
