hi everyone my problem is i have a wii that plays copies, i was told not to update it but my friend recently brought his original wii resorts game to my place and it wont play it unless i update it.
Can anyone tell me if its safe to update? and will it still play my copied games after the update?

Updates from discs are usually ok as long as you're playing from the same region as your wii. (usa wii -> usa game, PAL wii -> PAL game).

BTW, are you aware that you have to have the motion plus to play that game?
