so a buddy of mine asked if i could get the usb loader on his wii, which is a lu65. I first said no you hack those but then found a guide on here that allowed me to get the homebrew channel, bootmii as an ios, and dvdx on it. my question is, i wanted to install a wad, (usb loader). But it will not let me, ive tried all the ios to get it to install but none work. Does someone know the problem? Do i need to install the custom rev 14 ios one? my wii was not this hard to do so i am not understanding. any help would be appreciated.

alright so everything is installed...i followed this guide Link Here...I was able to use wad manager to install wads, I installed the usb loader and neogamma backup loader, the problem is when I click on either one to start they dont. I have the usb loader boot.dol on my sd card under apps\usbloader. Ive also tried it in the folder apps\usbloader_gx. Nothing is working.

So you've installed LU65 fix? Also, if you are on firmware 4.0 onwards install IOS60 patched.

Did you select IOS249 on WAD Manager to install USB Loader? Do you have it installed? Also, do you get the black screen both when launching the channels and the apps in HBC?

You probably installed a forwarder. The thing with forwarders is you have to have the proper directory set up for the forwarder to find the USB Loader boot.dol file. If you do not have it set up properly then you will get a black screen when launching it from the Wii channel menu.
You need to find out what forwarder your using and try to find out what the proper directory should be on the SD card.
