Let me just say, I know I'm gonna probably get flamed or might not even get answered. But I have been using this site for years and this is the first time I have ever had to create an account just to be helped. My Wii is obviously softmodded with 4.2 update, and I am just about ready to get it up and running but keep getting no usb device found. I have a compatible hard drive, (WD Passport 500 GB), HDD formated to FAT32, WBFS 3.0, USB Loader GX installed, usb cable plugged into the bottom right port next to the bumper. What am I not doing right. I am getting extremely frustrated considering I have hacked and modded every system and handheld since the sega saturn and cannot get this working. I've been at it now for 4 days. Please any help.

It worked, thank you so much. I guess GX doesn't work or has some bugs.

Nope no bugs

GX still needs a small WBFS partiition (or put in a hard drive with a WBFS partition) when GX first gets loaded it loads to ios249 (issues with FAT32 Partitions)

If you start the loader with a WBFS and then go into glodal load settings and change the ios to 222 it works fine.

Although loads of people like to slate GX, it has by far the best interface, simple and intuative, it has loads more features than most. I found CFG confusing with so many options, the kids hated it and I went back to GX. Also you need to have rev874 (last stable but will not rip to FAT32, or 921 (latest 929 has issues) this revision will rip as well.

Hey i'm having a usb issue as well.. I have a fat32, wbfs, & ntfs partition on my external. It was working and now it's not. The only thing I can think of is I was watchin a movie through MPlayer CE and it kept freezing. Now it wont read my HD. I put a few apps on my flash drive and plugged it in and the wii will read that so its not a wii usb port issue. I've reinstalled cios 202, 222, 223 & 224. Any ideas why the wii won't read my hard drive?
