Help with usb loader please

Hi. I had a friend install the software for my sons wii so he can load from a hard drive. After we put in a game cant remember which one it updated and now we cant load from the hard drive. My friend no longer lives in my area and I cant reach him to talk me through it.

When I click on configurable usb loader it reads error please reinstall. I have no idea how to reinstall.

I also have USB Loader GX but it never worked just froze the wii.
I have the homebrew channel and my version is 4.2u.

Any help would be appreciated.

Look at any hacking guide (use google) as you already have the homebrew channel then it is just removing stubs and reinstalling cios's.

After all is well, look at loading priiloader and blocking updates from disc and wifi.

Thanks kittymat.

I have looked at a few sites even youtube but it is double dutch to me. If you know of any site that walks me through the process in Layman terms as I am not too familiar with the terminology.

Use google to find a program called modmii

Run it on your PC (with internet connection) answer all the questions and it will download the files you need and give you instructions.
