Homebrew channel won't even load, just restarts Wii

Basically whenever I try to open the Homebrew Channel, I get a black screen for about 5 seconds, which is followed by the Wii channel flash across the screen (happens when the Wii first loads I think) and then I return to the main Wii channel menu...

I'm stumped as to why it does this. I am unable to browse apps or do anything of the sort. Any help as to how to fix this problem is greatly appreciated.

If you are on FW 4.0-4.2 just reinstall HBC using Hackmii installer in conjunction with Bannerbomb.

Then you should reinstall it the same way you did before which is through Twilight hack, I presume.

Nah I couldn't use the Twilight Method so Instead I followed this guide.

So I think I used Bannerbomb, if I read the guide correctly.
Should I just reinstall with that same method??

You are using a rather old and very unconventional way of softmodding your Wii. I haven't modded a system by this method. Skimming through the steps it looks like you need to perform Step 8.
