Hello everyone.
First off, much thanks to members who have contributed guides and answers to questions here. This is my very first post. Being new to the mod scene I was very aware of being careful to not ask questions that the answers for could be found on the forum. I have successfully softmodded a virgin wii with homebrew and usbloadergx and currently playing games. Now time to setup to watch movies. I have a question and unable to find answer. I currently am using one 250gb USB drive for wii games. I want to use a second USB drive that will only have movies and need to know if mplayerce for example will recognize this second drive? Currently using this second USB port for sing it microphone but want to use for second drive. Can it be done?

Hey, well sadly wii used a 2.0 drive for the main usb, and usb 1.1 for secondary. Because of the way wii setup the wii and the apps designed for them they (generally) utilize the 2.0 drive. Might I suggest splitting your main disk into two partitions. one for your games and the second for movies. anyways. Good luck. (i would be stoked if someone figured how to utilize the second usb port).

why not just get a bigger drive, and partition it off?

and it won't work with two drives. cios38 will only look for the drive in the right/bottom port.
