I have not used my WII in about a year. It is a soft modded 4.2u. I would like to play the latest games, but I am not sure how. I have done some reading but there is so much info out there, with so many different variables.
Also, my backups have to be booted from a Externall HDD.
I have read that it is pointless to update to 4.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Most new games can be played without updating, however it really depends on which game you are trying to use, each game has a specific fix. Some gams won't even present a problem unless they need to have their IOS installed. There are different methods for different games. Are there any particular games you're having trouble with?

Now I need to clear up the brain fog; I think I remember installing CIOS w/ WAD Installer or something. Also, if I remember correctly I had a program that could download them directly via wifi on my WII. But, I am not asking you guys to hold my hand that much!! I'll do some more research, and start playing around the WII again. Thanks guys! You are awesome!
