Hi there, I have an older Wii, which I have started following a guide to modify. The first step of this guide was to install bootmii, install the home brew channel, and update it (using 36 IOSs).
All went well, I updated the wii to 4.2, installed bootmii (or so I thought) and installed the home brew channel.
The next step was to backup the NAND using bootmii. I go into the homebrew channel, press home and click on load bootmii. My screen goes black and the lights around the DVD drive flash.
I found a thread here, this one specifically, and used the bootmii editor to see what was up. Well it said it couldn't find the bootmii.ini So...I assume somehow something went wrong in my installation of it.
I put the hackmii installer on my card again, to see about reinstalling it. But I can't get into the menu to install it again. When I go to the SD card there is no files in there. Even though I dropped everything from "hackmii" onto it.
What next? Can I reinstall bootmii somehow? I know I can proceed with the stuff, as bootmii isn't mandatory, but I would prefer not bricking my Wii. Thanks for any advice.
