If you have any kind of modifications on your Wii, how did you accidentally update to the latest firmware? Did you click 'Yes' numerous times and think you were clicking 'No'?!? Did you honestly leave your modded system set 'ON' for WiiConnect24? Does someone else use the system that you need to educate on what to do and not do?

Plz explain this concept to me because I see this excuse used left and right from people who updated to 4.2. It makes no sense to my dumb brain...

i don't understand it either.

When doing so could potentially damage/break/uninstall what you have on it, why do you do it?

wiiconnect24 does NOT automatically update. mine is set to on, and i just leave the message alone.

my guess is people fail to wait to see what the update is, and don't check the forums.

Lol, i have always wondered that too. The wii does not just update on its own.

They just say that because they know they have f**ked up by updating.

I always read whats happening in the wii world before I update, or if I do update its because I am experimenting.

Allot of the newbs and unfortunately some jr/sr/ad members are clueless when it comes to this stuff. So it doesn't surprise me to see it.
