Hi i have just got a wii and i want to mod it to play homebrew games but i have been reading up and it sounds quite tech , i do have a bit of a idea , im just wondering if theres a step by step guide or if theres a mod i can just put on the sd card and it installs itself pretty much ,? Do these exist , lucky for me it is a second hand wii , with 3.1 but i dont currently have it connected to the net , Please i am a newbie , if you can help please any advice is appreciated , Andy

No there is no auto-install for modding. You pretty much need to run the programs itself. Follow the softmod guide in my sig. it isn't all that complicated if you can read and follow directions.

Brilliant thanks for that guide i have done as said , but i didnt install the dvdx i couldnt find a bit in the guide about it , so i done the HBC , and Boot2 , and now do i need roms and what type of file are they tar , sorry i not to sure , but thr hbc is in the wii now so ,,Thanks again
