hard drive has gone corrupt done some research and found wwt: Wiimms WBFS Tool it says
»wwt FORMAT« will format a WBFS partition or file. Together with option --recover it try to recover an already existing WBFS.

I don't want to format it until i know the string of text to use this program to recover my wbfs corrupt partition (H:)

can someone simple term this for me

also can someone tell me how to set up this program as when i try and launch the applications from the bin file they open and close straight away.

of course it closes right away, You ARENT TYPING CODE IN CMDPROMPT. This program has to be use in command prompt. You have to read the faq on what you want to use it for whether you are copying,extracting etc or visited the site to read what tools wit offers?

first go to start,click run
type cmd

Next go to the folder of WIT you have downloaded and go to its directory. I am running wit-v1.18

so mine looks a little like this since my folder is on my desktop. To get into the next common directory you have to type cd [folder name]. To get into different drives just type drive name then colon [ex. c:]

C:\Documents And Settings\Username\Desktop\wit-v1.18\bin>

once you are in the bin folder type dir/w [for common directory in width]
now you can see all the tools available for use

you need to use wwt so type:
wwt.exe list <---- it checks to see if you have any wfbs drive first

if you do

type : wwt.exe FORMAT <----------- this will then ask you for recovery options.

I have explained this in the simplest terms I could good luck to you.
