i deleted my homebrew channel and I'm so lost

I'm such a newbie to the whole wii scene. I bought a soft modded wii from someone with about 30 games. Some of the game backups work, some do not. So being my stupid newb self I thought, "hmm let's delete the homebrew channel and try to reinstall it" Well I deleted it and can't seem to get it to install using the guides on here. I get a message stating something to the fact that I can't install the bootloader because I dont have any dangerous files...I'm sorry I'm not much help, heck I don't even know what soft mod was used. I am so lost and I would appreciate anyones help.

First thing you wana do is figure out what Firmware you have.
Wii Menu > Settings and look up in the top corner. Once you figure that out. Folllow one of larrylje's softmod guides all the way up to thae part when you install the HomeBrew channel and you should be good.

I have 3.2u I tried to follow one of the guides and i get an error stating I have no vunerable ios files. I tried to do the fix for that and the wii just freezes before it gives me the option to load anything.

I started messing with it in the first place because not all of my backups were working. Some would start to load and give me an error at the beginning of play.

Basically u need a way to run the HBC Wad... you have 2 options:

1) do u have a LEGIT copy of legend of zelda: twilight princess?
then just use Twilight hack- fairly easy and no hassle way to reinstall HBC

a non-legit version might also work-havn't tried. Try it and see. Your modded wii should be able to run Twilight Princess- it's one of the first games for wii.

2) Eaiser method: if you have wad manager installed, you can also use that to re-install HBC

YOur games wern't loading probably because you're Cios is probably outdated. Once you have HBC figured out, install Wad Manager (If you don't have it already) and then update your cios with cios rev 14 and cios222
