I modded my Wii back about 2 years ago so that I could backup games that I owned and play them. Now I have a Netflix account and Netflix wont allow me to connect anymore with the dvd and the only option I have is to download the channel but the thing is that I have to update the system before I can download the channel. So my question is if I update it to the current system version that is out (I have now idea what that would be) would It take down my homebrew channel and not allow me to play my backups? And if it does can I just remod my system?

you don't have to update the system menu. use dop-mii v15 to install and update all IOS under 200 with the latest non-stubbed version. then install shop channel v20.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

So should i just install any ios that is under 200 like ios70 is that what you mean? And what is the latest non-stubbed version? And where would i get the shop channel at? I know this is a lot of questions but i am a little confused.

Instaling the latest IOS56 and shop channel v20 should get you on the shop channel.
