i have searched multiple website/forums to include afterdawn and i havent really found any place to give me straight answers on the 4.1 update. hopefully someone from here can help me out since this site seems to know whats going on in the gaming world when it comes to modding/hacking/whatever you want to call it...again, i have searched throughout most of the wii "homebrew" forums and havent come across a good answer or at least a consistent answer...but then again maybe im not using the correct words for my searches...please see below if you wish to try and assist me...i appreciate the help ahead of time!!!!

currently my wii is at 3.2 or 3.3....i have a wasabi chip (solderless) installed as well as the homebrew channel (i only use it to install wads that are older games)

i have a copy of the wii resort sports and need to update my software for it to work correctly from what i understand.

i have also seen that waninkoko has released "his" 4.1 update that will give you all the "good" stuff and not the bad.

now i do not load any games on disks from the homebrew channel...only wads and this is very rare.

my question(s) is/are:
-if i update via nintendo servers, will this screw up anything with the chip i have installed and the homebrew...(i have heard yes and no from multiple sites)
-some people say update and your fine...the majority are like stay away from the update!

-should i update via the waninkoko installer or the nintendo server?
-some say do one over the other but i want to know whats the best.

i dont know a whole lot about the ISOS stuff and i dont think i have installed any on my wii through the homebrew channel...i have read some people are downgrading for whatever reason...something to do with "trusha signed games" (not to familiar with that term)...and they installing a ISOS

please assist me in getting "my ducks lined up in a row" before i update.

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I have no software modifications on my system.

I have a Wiikey 1.

I am currently running 4.0u. I have taken every incremental update from games or Nintendo wireless since I purchased my Wii.

Wii Sports resort runs fine on 4.0u. Why do you think that you need 4.1?

Every other backup I have ever run works fine.

i dont think i need 4.1...i just saw that theres an update and i havent updated mine in a very long time and was wondering if it was benefitial for me to have....and after reading things around the net, and with certain game supposedly require it...i figured id go ahead and do it....do you think i need to? or should i stay with what i got?
