I got a Wii the day Call of duty black ops came out and that game. I didnt use it till tonight due to being busy. Before using it I added home brew channel and exploited it. I played a game from the usb drive ok then popped in call of duty Black opps and it removed my exploit and home brew channel. The problem I have now is that my wii gets a white screen after about 15 minutes of play and makes an annoying noise that sounds like the test of the emergency broadcast system. When it does this I have to hold the power button for a bit till it shuts down. Any ideas? I did not re install the home brew or exploit after. I have wii sports and even though it drives me nuts I'm going to run that game to see if it does it. My wii has never been on line as I have no clue how to hook it on line. Thanks

I would guess that while playing black ops it updated the firmware and this... screwed your wii and all the softmodding. Why did you let it update in the first place?!?!
If you softmodded your wii I am sure you would have read the warnings not to update from a Wii game?!?!
Anyways. I suggest you try softmodding your wii so it can get back to how it was before.

What firmware is your wii at now??

If that doesn`t solve your wii problems then you might need take it back to original factory setting by downgrading to 4.1 or so and then softmod it once again from scratch.

I started with 4.2 and I used the hack I got from another forum. I had to pull 1 iso I think it was 249 or maybe thats what I put back but I'm not sure. I have all the info on my drive and I'll check. I did back up my nand and save it to my pc using a usb drive. I'll post the link to the hack. I did follow it to a t but I hacked 5 types of consoles in the past 2 weeks.

if you backed up your nan with bootmii and try to reset your wii with that nan.
It should fix it.

I did use bootmii. It worked good till my system updated off line with Black opps. Wish I could find an exploit that would work and not have to worry about updating causing an issue. I dont bootleg games but my collections get big and I want the convenience of the hard drive. I bought a drive that recognizes my wii games which was a bit fun to find and hate to see it go to waste. Are there mod chips that work good? I don't care about my warranty. I figured my issue might have been with the mod that the game pulled when it did a required update. I will try that tomorrow when I'm awake so I dont mess it up. Thank you. I'll let you know how it goes.

I wouldnt bother with modchips, for quite a few reasons.

And you don't need a DVD drive that reads wii games if you're using a USB loader. You just start up the USB loader, pop the game into the wii and press the + button and it will automatically rip the game to the USB drive.

Wow I didn't know that I been doing it the hard way I guess. The ide DVD drive is causing issues in my pc because I have 3 2tb sata hard drives and sata doesn't work good with ide stuff. I'll have to try that after I fix my exploit today. Thank you
