I have a Argon D2C chip in my Wii running 3.1U firmware. I have used brick blocker on all game iso's before burning as I was under the impression that allowing updates would sense the existence of the Argon chip and brick the wii system. Is this true? Lately some games like boom blox bash party and marble saga: kororinpa will not play after brick blocker and burning. Should I let the game dvd's update and forget the brick blocker step? Perhaps the software must be updated to play these games.
Please help.

If you download pre-loader and set it up to skip Disc updates you won't have to worry about that.

Read line 3 under my sig.

EDIT: sorry, I just saw you have 3.1U. You need to be at least 3.2U for it to work.

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/

Line 1 of your sig has two https so it doesn't go anywhere.
