im on 4.1 hermies 222/223 ios at the mo what i have noticed games that need to update when booting from wii disc channel dont off config usb loader. whats the benefits for uploading to 4.3

You should not update to 4.3....where did you hear that there is a need or advantage...
these days 4.3 tends to f-up your wii so to speak.
4.2 is the safest, all this new update does it, let`s you use the speech chatting device (used in Animal Crossing), has fixed bugs on the USB, and other bugs, updated some of the Wii channels, SD card updates to make it load and run a little faster.. (all of these are good updates).

what you should do is use dop-mii to install any missing, non-stubbed, IOSes, and then install priiloader to block all updates.

should anyone use an original disc, it will boot right away since priiloader bypasses the update. i've been on 4.1U with no problems. my wiispeak works fine with MHTri.

you people are all retards 4.3 does not screw up your wii so dont go around spamming that it does. Create a NAND backup and Update with Nintendo system update and homebrew with this guide

I know that 4.3 doesn't do anything softmod wise, but why mess up a perfectly working softmod? you can easily keep it updated with dop-mii.

i don't use any discs apart from loading them to usb hard drive except splinter cell as i can only boot from disc, my little boy wants to use wii shop, and it says you cant because wii needs a system update.

Just use NUS Downloader and download the shop channel latest update (make sure you pack it as a WAD file). Then install the wad file with WAD manager. Shop channel should then work.

Updating to 4.3 will delete a softmod, so you will then have to softmod the system again. Yes softmoding 4.3 is easy to do IF you have 1 of the games that can exploit the system. So if your system is already softmoded it is easier to just install any IOS that may be missing and install updated shop/weather/news channels if they need updated. You don't necessarily have to update to 4.3 to get those to work.
