After reading quite a few posts, I've summed up for myself that in order to make Monster Hunter Tri and Guitar Hero 5 work on a softmodded Wii, I've got to reinstall some IOSes, which in turn will lead to several of my currently not working games not working anymore (unless I revert those IOSes again).

Can anyone confirm this, so I can stop trying to figure out how to get MH3 working? ;)

install that, and make sure you load MHTri with ios250. tried and tested myself. may have errors with wii speak.

or install cIOSX_rev20 with base ios56 on 249. not enough testing, but seems to be working fine.

I don't make software changes unless absolutely necessary, so my systems's pretty clean.

I have MHT running on a "plain Jane" IOS 249 softmodded system. the only addition I have is IOS222-mload for using microphone equipped games. I have not tested GH5 explicitly, but all of my Rock Band games work.
