is wii mod chip cyclowiz V2 dead ?

I modded my wii a couple years ago and have 30 backups.
I didn't use it for a year...just ran wii fit.
I just tried using my backup games and i am getting disk read errors
I am running the last released firmware on the cyclowiz V2 3.6b

the "wii fit" upgraded the wii version to 3.1u
I think that has caused my backup disk read problems.

does anyone know how to fix this?
