Just wanted to share my results...

wiikey1, 3.4u, used neogammar8beta7, never used this until tonight. It works, but its figity. You cant put patched game in until homebrew is launched, then put in disc, load neogama, and load game...played up threw world 1-5, confident it works...maybe this is how your supposed to do it??

non patched version played through game channel til 1-2

Is this how neogammar works?

no neo gamma should be able to run the game to world 8 without issues. You my friend have wii soft mod issues on top of burning issues. I dont know if you patched it wrong but yeah my game runs perfectly with neo gamma r8.

@jmh1980

I have the exact same issue. I cant figure out why some people are having this problem when most are not.

I wasn't able to fix it but I did bypass it by installing configurable usb loader and putting the patched game on there. I hadn't used a usb loader previously but it was pretty easy.

Maybe i explained it wrong.

wiikey1 3.4u, neo is short for neogamma

Let me try this again.

The patched version plays through neo fine and it has yet to freeze. I have not played the game further then 1-5, but im sure its possible, because it hasnt froze yet. I have never used neo until now. What I am asking is, why its so figgity? Why does the game only work if i load up homebrew first through the channel, then put the game in the system and then load it throw neo. If I put the game in before the system starts, i get the black screen wii error. So its obvious this one works, so there is no burning errors or soft modding errors. I just have never used neo, thats why I am asking, is this how all games work though neo?

The unpatched version loads up in the wii channel, and i can play it, but it freezes after maybe 10 minutes of play like everyone else is having.

No, you've explained it right. I'm having the exact same issue.

Patched game crashes the entire console if I insert the disk before starting homebrew channel but runs fine after that.

Unpatched game starts from disk channel fine but crashes randomly during gameplay.

Original disk works just fine from disk channel. No issues.

I don't know why the patched game crashes some people, and after hours of trying to figure out why I gave up and installed a usb loader to just bypass the whole issue entirely.

I really enjoy the mario game, and I am excited to play it further. I will update this thread to let you know if it ever freezes but I am confident it wont, i have already played it longer then non patched version...infact, i left it in the system, at the world screen where you can pick a level for a good hour, and i was able to pick it back up and play.
