I have a few Wii games that I want to back up. I know there is a lot of info about this but it seems that there is a dispute over whether Dvd+R's are good for backing up games. I have heard that they don't work, the Wii has trouble reading them, they work fine, etc. My burner only burns Dvd+R I believe and I have a bunch of these dvds. If the Wii has trouble with them or it harms the system, I would prefer to just replace my drive and get some new dvds.

That having been said, I have had success burning Wii backups to DVD+R, but have since switch to -R except for DL.
Nevermind, it is a multi recorder. I just looked at the burner label which only says DVD+R DL Recorder. Either way, is it better to burn them to DVD-r's?
DVD+R media will work on Wii. Just ascertain that each project is book-typed to DVD-ROM. I am not sure if your burner has this capability. I say test-burn one of those DVD+Rs of yours and see if the Wii drive can read them.
