ok having a 500GB external hard drive on wii soft modded, will this allow you to have more storage space for game saves, installed channels etc? i ask as my wii game saves are full and cannot save any more game saves, its a pain in the ass moving them back and forth an SD card, more so for my 8 yr old why can't they load straight off SD card like they do on Sony PS with the memory cards, why is there 20 pages on the wii to flip through for installed channels if you don't have near enough memory to fill them? these are just questions im not going mental on anyone.

thanks

no. the wii does not have direct access to hard drives/usb drives. and the SD channel is kinda useless, as it needs space on the internal memory to load any wiiware/VC games off the card; it frees the memory when you stop playing the game.

you're pretty much stuck swapping back and forth. just pray that nintendo releases an update that allows FULL external drive access on the menu, with direct loading instead of that crap temporary system memory loading.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .
