Modded Wii Neogamma Error

I have a soft modded wii, i remember i had to downgrade my version and it was a hassle to install homebrew and neogamma. Since than i have backed up all my games. Some back ups work perfectly on the system, others give dvd errors and you need to launch it like 10 time to get it to start, others just dont star. Could it be the neogamma messing up? possibly bad discs? i usually use phillips dvd-r, but a couple games are on dvd+r, would that cause them not to launch? Maybe the neogamma is to old to launch newer games? Any help would be appreciated

what wii firmware do you have ? which version of neogamma do you have?
