my menu 1.2 fatal error! script fail

when i try to merge 00000072.app with theme.mym i get a Fatal error script fail message. anybody got any ideas? am i doing something wrong?
im trying to follow Larry's theme guide as slowly and precise as possible.

i would also like to know whats going on im trying to make my own custom theme ad it keeps saying that i think the theme may have been done wrong

Make sure your 00000072.app and theme.mym are in the same directory. Be sure that you copy and paste the 00000072.app into that directory. Try also renaming the theme.mym. Ex. Papermario.mym try renaming it PM.mym.
