I'm literally on the verge of tears with this!

My WRT54G2 v1.0.01 and my wii V. 4.2U cant seem to reach an understanding through my XP PC. I have read this whole board and everything I could find on the net and actually tried every answer people have given to fix the problem and nothing.

I just got my Wii a couple of days ago and have been struggling with this since then. They are wired through a Nintendo lan connector and although the menu says that it tested the connection and was OK when I got to 24 connect to accept the terms it comes back with an error 220602.

Right now, after it OK'ed i told it to look for updates, it did and asked me if I wanted to used the shopping channel and 24connect , I said yes, it asked to accept the terms to connect and BAM! again the same error.

What am I doing wrong?!??!?!?
I even tried wireless and the same thing. I tried also with the Nintendo usb connector and nothing.

PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE HELP

i would flash your router with white russian or ddwrt. Only do it if you know what you are doing. By flashing it it puts custom software into your router. If you mess up you could destroy it, but it would fix your issues.

LOL, oka, you are a Wiigenius, me? not so much, lol.
I wouldn't know how to flash it, but with a tutorial or a guide, I'm capable of anything :-)
you say this might work and the worst case scenario I end up without a router?, that's a calculated risk I'm willing to take ($50 for a new router IF doesn't work...)

it depends on which WRT54G2 you have. if you have a 1.5, you can't flash it. but even then, the G2 routers are very technical for flashing.

you're better off getting a WRT54GL and flashing it out of the box.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

mine is V1.0
I think I should just get a new router or at least borrow one for testing... :-(

the 1.0.01 you listed is the firmware version. you need to look on the bottom of the router to find the correct model.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database#

search for the model and download the needed files.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=40142

read, read, read! and when you're done, read! failure to do everything said in the instructions will lead to a bricked router.

that's what i did wrt54g2 v1
but before doing something drastic, I'm going to test another router, if it works, then mine is the problem; if not, is the settings, THEN I'll deal with dd-wrt

even if you got a new router i would personally flash it with custom software. It unlocks tons of potential in any router with custom software. Lets just say you have more available options to fix your wifi issues.

After you flash it you can access:

administrations tab > commands

then enter this code to reroute your connection directly to the wiis.

iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p udp -d [insert your ip address here] --dport -j DNAT --to-destination [insert wii address here]

dont do this method unless its your last resort. If it works upon flashing then just keep it as is.

LOL ita
