Hello,
So I have been trying to softhack my wii for a few weeks now. I installed wiigator as a backup launcher and I also installed the latest cIOS. I basically followed every step of those guides to the letter and I am still having a dvd read error when trying to play backup discs. So yesterday I decided to install a usb loader and again followed every step of the guides and yet nothing. I installed usb loader gx and when I load it, it tells me that it is waiting for my slow usb and when the countdown is over, it brings me back to the wii menu.

What I did not mention is that I used to have the version 4.0u and I downgraded it to 3.4u.
I spent countless hours trying to fix it by burning my discs on different brands, I did all the small tricks of plugging in the usb when the countdown starts...etc.
At this point I hope that I can perhaps get someones close assistance and coach me step by step. Maybe by video conference and we can take one step at a time. This is extremely confusing to me and I don't know where to go from here...maybe start over with a fresh start?

Is there anyone out there that can really help me?

I would suggest that you start with this guide, then there will be a baseline that people can go from in case addition help is required.

Hi dailun thank you very much for the info, ill try it very soon. But first I was wondering...should I uninstall all the software from my wii first and then start over to follow this new guide or should I continue as it is?
And if I do have to start over, how do I uninstall all the software from my wii without bricking it? I am fairly new at this and would need as much help as possible.

Just follow the guide as is. No need to uninstall anything (except for Wiigator since NeoGamma R7 is updated).
