I just finished using this and it will get you started
you must register with the site to get the file links

have fun
takes about an hour

and if you purchased it yesterday chances are slim that you will be able to play backups
your dvd drive probably wont read them so do yourself a favor and just get a external hd

mind you, backups are designed to be read a 3x, instead of the regular 6x. there will be lags, as some have pointed out before. usb loading has nearly flawless smoothness.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I plan to burn at 2x speed anyways so I'm not worried about the speed being an issue. tomorrow I'm going to rry the softmod & I need a guide to teach me how to burn the gms...

I prefer to use it as a wbfs format as it has been stable since the beginning
but then again i dedicate the drive to the wii and use the sd card for all the files

your burning speed has nothing to do with the reading speed
just get yourself a 1tb drive for around $100 canadian and you have all your games in one place
no more scratched discs not reading half way through a game
search wiiflow on youtube to take a look at it
there is nothing better
although i have 2 games that i have to use cfg usb loader for
sam and max and thomas the train game (they dont work in wiiflow but they do in cfg usb loader
but the wiiflow interface is so slick compared to cfg usb loader

after you figure that out it will be happy gaming from there

ok thanks. I won't have a prob gettin any gms that's the easy part. its just the burning & modding part. I still wanna be able to burn well at least attempt to anyways. not worried about hard drive space either just need to know if ntfs or fat32/16 or just fat format... I will attempt to mod with the link I was given above & I will have a gm ready to try tomorrow evening or monday afternoon at the latest. I would much rather burn gms as I migt mod more than one after this works.....

12) Plug your USB hard drive into your computer USB port.

13) Right-click ?My Computer? and select ?Manage?

14) Click ?Disc Management? on the left side of the window.

15) Right-click your hard drive and select ?delete partion? or ?delete volume? depending on which appears.

16) Right-click the hard drive again and select ?new?. Choose not to format the hard drive and assign it a letter. Make it W for Wii.

17) Open WBFS Manager and select drive W. Click format.

18) Plug your hard drive into your Wii (bottom port if your Wii is on its side)

19) Load up your USB Loader, insert a game and select install.\

this is how i format the drive to wbfs (best in my opinion)
but then again i use a wii that will read burnt disks
if u cant read burnt disks and need to connect it to your pc then you might want to look into some of the other options for loading them from a pc

as for burning use imgburn its free and works great
make sure to burn at 4x or slower as everyone states (hard to find disks these days that let you burn slower that 4x)

there are some programs for the wii that will let you put the game in your wii and then send it wireless to you pc cant remember what it is called
then you could copy it from there to anouther hard drive
maybe someone else can remember what it is called
its been a few years since i used it
