HELP! I think I just bricked my wii!!
I've been messing around w/ it ALL DAY trying to mod it to play backups and I have been going through different cIOS and different guides and have been getting these errors along the way.
It would not play my backed up game as it would stop about 3 minutes in.
I followed most guides and I just reinstalled IOS60Patched.wad from WAD Loader 1.5 and now, whenever I turn it on, I get a screen in broken letters sayin g"The system file ???? ?? Please refer to the Wii Owners Manual for troubleshooting and it won't start.
It first starts to BootMii and it gives me the option of where I want to start and i click Wii, and that's the error.
If I go to the homebrew channel, (it never worked in the past) but it just shows a black screen and won't start up to the homebrew channel.
What can I do? I didn't create a backup on my NING and I'm new to all of this. I just want to start over and do it right w/ a REAL guide - not one of these crappy ones. HELP!!

I should also add that I can't get to the preloader menu.. All I can get to is that first bootmenu :-(.
I CAN view the contents of the SD card as well from the boot menu

If you didn't make a copy of your NAND, what did you intend to restore?

Whatever Preloader version you have currently installed, try re-installing it. Acquire the Preloader dol file and place it in the root of your SD card. Use Preloader Load/Install option in Preloader to install it.

How do I get into the prelaoder from the bootmii menu. If I click wii, it sends me straight to the system menu but it crashes on the way there. I get that scrambled error message.
I had preloader .29 installed and then did the auto upgrade to .30.
Thanks for the help.

Try holding down the reset button after you tell Bootmii to go to the Wii System Menu. if that doesn't boot you into Preloader then do the below steps.
Drag the Bootmii folder that is at the root of the SD card to your PC (make sure you transfer it to the PC). After you transfer it to the PC delete the Bootmii folder delete it off the root of the SD card.
Now when you start your Wii hold down the Reset button and you should boot to Preloader. From there reinstall preloader again using the Homebrew Channel.

Try booting into hbc. From there, run preloader and attempt to reinstall.

Place this DOL file in the root of your SD card. Run Preloader. Go to Load/Istall FIle option. Locate the file and install it. Now, try going into System Menu.

Ahh! I got Cboot2 to work! Should i still try that DOL file?
It opened up WAD Manager, but which WAD do I reload? Or what do I install/reinstall?
IOS38-64-v3610.wad
IOS50-64-v4889.wad
IOS53-64-v5149.wad
IOS55-64-v5149.wad
or another one?
Where do I go from here to complete reset everything and start from scratch from a better tutorial from here

I would exit out of WAD Manager first to see if System Menu is now functional.

Nope.. Clicked home and I still get the system files are corrupt..
I installed IOS38, but I'm hesitant to uninstall IOS60.patched which I think was what caused the issue in the first place
What do you think?
Have Gtalk or AIM or MSN to help out pleeassee.. these forums are hard to keep refreshing..

No sorry. Have you reinstalled Preloader yet? If not, go to HBC again and run Preloader installer from there (dol file I provided). Re-install Preloader.

Bud, you don't need to go to WAD Manager. You need to go to the Homebrew Channel. From there, re-install Preloader. I am confident that you will be able to resolve your issue.
