Ok I'll start this one, I just got my hands on NSMB USA, I burned it to the dvd, it recognized it in the disc channel as NSMB but there is an error and a message saying to eject the disc when running it. Anyone know how to run this one? Or what settings to use in NeoGamma R8 Beta 7? Please reply back with disc solutions, not USB solutions, I know thats how it went for the PAL release but this is the USA NTSC release so think of some new stuff.

I hadn't seen it done yet. I just run mine from my sd card. Just format a sd card with WBFS Manager 3.0 put it on there and your good to go. open neo pick mount wbfs from sd card and your good to go its a fun game.

viper2g1 and I want the same thing. To be able to play all of our games the same way. There must be an ios missing or something that we can do make it work just like any other game. This has always been the case in the past anyway.

I am getting a black screen with a disc read error. I personally have all of my games on a hard drive hooked to my pc and I load them via my flatmii. Someone please figure out what ios I need to install to make this work using this method.

If the only solution you have is "use neogamma" then please dont respond. Thanks.

the real reasonable way is to BUY THE GAME.

then you can either:
-rip it yourself and burn
-load it to a WBFS drive and use configurable usb loader
-play it straight from the original

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Yeah, loading from neogamma gives me a green screen. Loading from disc just gives the disc error (d2c key).

I read on another forum that we have to update our IOS53 and system menu IOS (in my case since I'm on 3.2U that would be IOS30). So, how does one update these IOS file and make sure that they dont brick the wii?

Updated to Rev830 on usb loader gx & NTSC version is working fine, loaded right up. I've read that it crashes after a few boards, but I haven't had that happen yet.

Moderators: If this in any way violates the rules feel free to edit/erase this whole post, it was designed to help the people who don't have clue - like I was.
Well I haven't been able to play it from DVD yet but for anyone who is having trouble getting it to run I'll outline what I did:

Note: I was on 4.2 so I had to get the homebrew channel back, to do this I went here and used bannerbomb here is the link to it:

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/BaNNeRBoMB

Just follow the guide there and you will have all your homebrew back like it was.

Next I went here

http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/24630-full-hacking-guide-4-2-system-menus.html

and followed section B and C, you could follow section A to get your homebrew channel back as an alternative to bannerbomb.

Following that I completed step 1 of the USB Loader readme here

http://usbloadergx.koureio.net/help/readmii

Assuming you did all those correctly your 4.2 wii WILL be able to play the new super mario game. Remember that if you downloaded the game somewhere you will need to compile it with the patch. This is exactly what I used

New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_req.ios.truncha_FiX_Wii-iND

just google it and you will figure it out.

After this burn the game to disc, run USB Loader from wii and install game in USB loader and play.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've used larrylje's guide to install all my homebrew. I am running:

4.1U
Usb Loader GX r815
cIOS14
NeoGamma7

I have rented the game from blockbuster and ripped it onto my HD using Usb Loader GX. I forced NTSC and set Error 002 to ON.

When I tried to play the game I get:

An error has occurred.
Press the Eject Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn off the power to the console. Please read the Wii Operations Manual for further instructions.

I did not bother patching the game because it seems like everyone got this to work by just using the latest version of things and turning Error 002 ON. Am I missing a step? Thanks in advnced.

You can't be serious? after all that I just posted?? You need to do what I outlined to get it to work, unless anyone knows another way to do it. And yes, you need to update it with the patch.

I finally got mine to work using my flatmii. The FlatMii Team released a new version of the software that is compatible with the game. I only had to update IOS53 using DOP-IOS MOD.

If you have a hardmod Wii, check with your chip's manufacturer and see if there is a software/firmware update.

If you have a softmod wii you may have to use the USB/SD Card method as those seem to be the only options for softmods.

my goal was to find a solution that didn't require updating it with a patch. that's why i asked because it seemed like half the people said it needed the patch but the other half didn't. i actually got this working by just updating to r830 of usb loader gx. didn't need patches or anything else.

Thanks a ton, this worked perfectly. Instead of installing the USB loader, I just used NeoGamma to launch the game from Disk and it's working a treat!
