I apologize if this question has already been answered but ive been searching for the last few hours and havent come up with anything. I have New Super Mario Brothers played the original and ran the update. My console is at firmware 4.1u and the only mod i have is the D2Ckey. Ive noticed most people run a softmod which I do not. I am in the process of making a backup and was wondering if there is a patch or any way that will allow me to play the backup using only my D2Ckey or do I have no choice but to softmod my Wii. I appreciate any help. Thank you.

The image needs to be patched before burning if you want to run it from a backup disc. It does not need patching if running from a hard drive, via softmod.
