You need to be more specific. You need to answer all of the following questions.
What happens when you turn the wii on (Can you access the system menu, or is there an error)?
Do you have any softmods installed?
What is your wii's firmware version?
What happens when you try to run a backup game?
Have you updated your modchip to it's latest firmware?
Semi-bricks are pretty easy to fix, so once you answer these questions we can started.

The Wiikey update discs are here, use the one that corresponds to your original region & hopefully if your wii hasn't been updated to 4.2 or 4.3 you may be able to run the update: http://www.wiihacks.com/content/83-wiike...eta-update.html
If you want to fix your semi-brick, you need yo update from a game that is your original region, But it must have a system update lower than 4.2! The list can be found here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs...es-use-run.html
Try updating your Wiikey first, & whatever you do don't update to 4.2
I burned 1.99 to dvdr verbatim and it wont read the disc. My wii is having problems with readings discs????I think it started to happen when i started using wads for games that required certain wads.

Can you run original discs? What is displayed when you try to run games? You could actually have a problem with your wii's laser, which would either have to replaced with a new one or you'd have to start USB Loading via softmods. Of course it may also be the fact that you've messed around with IOS, which is likely. Unless you made a NAND Backup during the softmod, you'd have to just update your console to 4.2 & lose the Wiikey. Wiikeys still work while on 4.2, but the 4.2 update kills region capability, meaning you can still play backups from NTSC-U, but you'll have to leave the rest of them to softmods. Update to 4.2 using a game disc, not online! Games that have 4.2 are:
Endless Ocean 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2

Are you talking about the 2nd Mario Galaxy game? It would help if you could remember which game you updated off.

Since you've already updated from Super Mario Galaxy 2, you should be on 4.2, meaning you've already lost your Wiikey's region capability. My suggestion now would be to re-install the 4.2 system menu in your own region (The region you bought your console in) using The Homebrew Channel's WAD Manager, then re-softmod it. The update will erase all current softmods & unbrick your semibrick. Your Wiikey will remain untouched, but if you want to use it properly to play in region backups, you should update the chip using the disc.
I'm happy to provide the system menu WAD files to you, but I'll need to know what region you bought the console in. I have a feeling that since you did mess around with the IOS, it may conflict with WAD Manager, but if it comes to that you could update from Metroid Other M & re-softmod your wii on 4.3, but 4.2 is easier.

It should fix your Semi-brick, but softmods may have to be used to bypass the disc read error, I have a feeling it's because of the soldered chip. First we should make sure we know to install either 4.2 or 4.3 As you know, installing WADs without the right information is dangerous.
Run this app from the Homebrew Channel & post the report you get on your SD Card on this forum:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/SysCheck
Once you post the report, I will give you the right files you need.

Well, we know that your region is NTSC, but your system menu is actually PAL's 4.1 firmware, meaning your Wiikey should be safe. I really don't know much about this kind of problem, but if you were to install NTSC-U 4.1 over PAL, you will unbrick & you may be able to update your Wiikey.
Using WAD Manager, install these files in order:
IOS60: http://www.mediafire.com/?izwnwyyxdmn
System Menu 4.1: http://www.mediafire.com/?jx2js1hi5zf
Use must install the IOSfirst, however there have been some said 'bricking' issues involving IOS60...Therefore I will not be held responsible for anything that happens to your wii using this process, there is a certain amount of risk with anything WAD related, take it at your own risk.

Well, your log you posted says you got 4.1. And everybody else keeps saying you got 4.1 menu. But the first link I posted says that you need IOS 70 before you install 4.2 menu. I guess it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and do the 4.2u wad install after you install IOS 70. If you are at 4.1 now then you would just be updating to a newer menu.
*JUST DISCREDIT THIS POST. AN UPDATED MORE ACCURATE POST IS BELOW*

Hold up! Quick info update. I found the cause for your error. It seems as though nintendo got your IOS's when you updated with the super mario galaxy 2. Here is an explanation:
"This error occurs when nintendo has patched all of your IOSs. You try downgrading to 3.2 of your region."
And here is 2 links to get an understanding. The first is where I got the quote where shadowsonic2 explains it and the second is an afterdawn thread.
http://www.wiihacks.com/general-homebrew...ny-ideas-2.html
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/779781
And if you do the downgrade thing, you should check to see if your wii is able to downgrade. Some wiis you can't downgrade.

Sorry about that. But I was too hasty with that post. It seems your major problem is that your IOS's seemed to be patched by nintendo when you updated using the galaxy 2 disc. I posted links below that post you read to help you out with your problem. I don't think updating to 4.2u is gonna help now. Just follow the links I posted after that post and the link 12137 posted, too. You have to address the problem of your IOS's being patched first. There are varying solutions for that. So, read up on the solutions and see which seems good to you.
