Original Gamecube games not working on softmodded wii

I have a dilemma I have used Larrylge guide from here to soft mod my wii with 4.1 system menu. Everything has worked flawlessly. I have homebrew installed among other things and am able to play all wiiware and vc titles etc. My original gamecube games don't work though. I get unable to read disc but they work fine in an original Nintendo Gamecube. Metroid prime and Turok Evolution. Any suggestions or solutions?

I use cmios ver 3 and cioscorp but thats a personal decision.

yea i originally installed mios ver 8 then uninstalled that and installed cmios ver 3 (for gamecube support, i'll try that again though) before i found out i had the new d2-3 drive. My original gamecubes won't show up in the disc channel or work at all.

I get unable to run disc. Anybody know how i can fix this problem? I'm not going the cioscorp route (too much ios rendering and customization for my tastes).

Edit: Well I got my original gamecube games to load through neogamma r7 with cmios 3 rev installed but not disc channel. Is this normal?

I have the same issue.
I thought maybe the problem was IOSCORP, but not sure..

I also managed to load original GC games with neogamma, but did you have any luck loading GC backups?

I tried loading a backup (Zelda WW) but no luck.
Doest it have to be the same region as the Wii? does it matter?
